Wandavision: Watch the Trailer Now
In Avengers: Endgame, Rocket Racoon explained to Thor that while some of their colleagues were “kinda gone,” Thor’s mother Frigga was “real gone.” She couldn’t come back, but those who disappeared as a result of the “Thanos Snap” could come back.
Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen Endgame: all of those characters — Falcon, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, most of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Wanda all did come back. Vision was one character who died in Avengers: Infinity War.
But he’s back in Wandavision, which will apparently be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe show to air on the new streaming platform, Disney+. And the show’s first trailer aired tonight, during the Emmys. Watch it below.
Wandavision, starring Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda and Paul Bettany as Vision, seems to see the couple living in a 1950’s sitcom. Teyonah Parris is seen in the trailer: she plays a grown-up Monica Rambeau from Captain Marvel, but not Kat Dennings, who is said to be reprising her role as Darcy Lewis from the first two Thor films.
Disney+ hasn’t said when they show will air, but they did say it’s coming later this year. The first Marvel show on Disney+ was supposed to be Falcon and the Winter Soldier, so this is a variation on their original plan. That show is supposed to premiere next year.
