Bricken For Chicken at Sixers Games
The Philadelphia Sixers may have lost last night, but at least the fans in attendance won.
With the start of the new NBA season upon us, the Sixers have introduced a new but familiar concept for fans to win something during the second half of home games.
That prize comes in the form of Chick-Fil-A nuggets.
The concept is called Bricken For Chicken and it replaces the previous fan favorite, the Frosty Freeze.
It’s simple, during the second half of each Sixers game at the Wells Fargo Center when an opposing team’s player steps to the free throw line and misses both free throws, fans in attendance win Chick-Fil-A nuggets.
The first time it happens, fans win a five-count of nuggets. The second time it happens, fans win an eight-count of nuggets. The third time it happens, fans win a grand prize of a 12-count of nuggets.
Needless to say, when a visiting team’s player misses his first free throw, the building erupts in cheers, screams, and any sort of noise or motion that will hopefully cause the player to miss his second shot as well.
So late in the game when Giannis Antetokounmpo of the visiting Milwaukee Bucks stepped to the foul line and missed his first free throw, Sixers fans went ballistic, practically begging the Greek Freak to miss the second attempt.
In true Chick-Fil-A fashion, Antetokounmpo obliged and said, “My pleasure,” giving all in attendance free nuggets!
On top of that, fans also received a super cool shirt for the home opener!
The Bricken For Chicken is sure to have Sixers fans in a frenzy all season long!
