Schwarberfest Ad Flying High on Sunday
Look up! It’s a bird! It’s a plane…. All right, it is a plane, but not just your everyday, ordinary plane!
This past Sunday, October 30th, I was headed down to Lincoln Financial Field to watch the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. to see the two teams battle it out for Pennsylvania football supremacy.
On my walk to the gates, I happened to look into the sky and saw something flying over the stadium that caught my eye.
It was a plane flying way above the stadium complex with a huge advertisement banner attached to it from behind, one similar to something you would see down the shore during the summertime.
However, this was not just your average advertisement.
This was a Wawa Schwarberfest advertisement!
The fan-favorite convenience store is running this deal in honor of Philadelphia Phillies’ star left fielder, Kyle Schwarber, during the team’s World Series run.
With the Eagles absolutely destroying the Steelers by a score of 35-13 on Sunday, I think it is fair to say that the Schwarberfest promotion flying over the stadium complex was good luck for the team!
I don’t know if A.J. Brown made his way over to Wawa after the game to take advantage of the Schwarberfest deals going on, but he was definitely eating on Sunday with three total touchdowns!
Hopefully, the plane will make its way back down to South Philadelphia prior to the Phillies game tonight as they take on the Houston Astros in game three of the World Series!
The Fightins are currently tied 1-1 in the Fall Classic, with three home games in the next three days.
Here’s to a very cool advertisement campaign by Wawa and a few more Schwarbombs from the star player, himself!
