Thank You to Everyone Who Helped with My 76ers Bell Ringing Ceremony
Man, I just can’t get over how amazing last Friday night was down at the Wells Fargo Center.
For those of you who are still not up to date, I had the chance to be the ceremonial pregame bell ringer for the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, January 6th, as the team took on the Chicago Bulls.
If you want to read more about it, click here and here!
It truly was a night I will never forget for multiple reasons, and I am so grateful for the opportunity that was given to me that night.
Of course, that night would not have been possible without the contributions of a ton of people, so I just wanted to make a post dedicated to everyone I want to thank that was involved in my special night!
First, obviously, thank you to the 76ers!
But on a more personal level, I want to thank a few individual people themselves.
Thank you to my buddy Tommy McFlynn who is the head of security at the Wells Fargo Center!
Thanks for making sure everything went smoothly that night and making sure everyone was able to access the places they needed to be.
I’ve known Tommy for close to 30 years. It’s insane now that I think about it!
For all my WMGK, classic rock lovers, check out Tommy with Slash.
Secondly, I want to thank Anthony Foster.
Anthony is a one-of-a-kind type of artist and does some amazing work!
Anthony is the one who designed the phenomenal Matt Cord t-shirts celebrating my 25 years as PA announcer for the 76ers as seen in many of the photos from Friday night!
I can scroll down Anthony’s Instagram profile for days admiring his work!
Check out his Instagram here!
Next, I want to thank Kees, the 76ers photographer, who captured all the amazing shots from that night, including the ones below!
Because of her, I will also be able to look back on that night in amazing detail!
I can’t thank her enough!
Kees definitely has the keys to the photography game in her hands!
Check out more of her work on her Instagram right here!
Finally, thanks again to all my friends, loved ones, and family for showing up for me that night including my mom Betty Cord, Pattyann, my nephew, Nate, my niece, Lily (who can be seen below tossing shirts out into the crowd with the great, Christian Crosby), my buddy Rob Wasserman and family, and my friends from Good Day Philadelphia, Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley!
You all rock!
