I Was at the Sixers Youth Foundation Gala Last Night!
Last night I was fortunate to be in attendance for the annual Philadelphia Sixers Youth Foundation Gala!
The event helps raise awareness for the Youth Foundation that does amazing work for the area’s youth.
The event took place in South Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena.
Man, was it a great time!
Obviously, I get to see the players every game night down at the Wells Fargo Center on Broad Street, and it is always awesome.
But getting a chance to hang with some of the players away from the game environment is always such a blast.
So needless to say, I was stoked to there last night.
Seeing the guys just let loose and have fun really gives people the opportunity to truly get to know each of them, and it definitely makes my job that much cooler as the team’s public address announcer.
The highlight of the night came when 76ers’ guard, Danuel House Jr. took the stage and started rapping!
He absolutely killed it and everyone in the building, including his teammates, were loving it!
It was a really cool moment, and you could see the love the players have for each other through their reactions!

One of those players was Sixers’ forward, Matisse Thybulle, who was also nice enough to pose for a picture with my girlfriend, Pattyann!
Matisse is the man!
A ton of awesome people were in the building last night including my buddy, Mike Jerrick, the host of Good Day Philadelphia on Fox 29.
I can’t get away from Mike recently!
The legendary Dr. J was also there!
Also, the voice of the 76ers on the radio for our sister station, 97.5 The Fanatic, Tom McGinnis, was in the house.
Oh, and I can’t forget about the team’s mascot, Franklin!
While Danuel House Jr. blew the party away with his rapping, he was not the only person on the mic last night!
The originators themselves were in the building for an amazing performance.
The Sugar Hill Gang took the stage for everyone!
It was a delight!
Altogether, the 2023 Sixers Gala was a huge success!
I can’t wait to be back!
But until then, let’s keep the hot streak going Sixers!
