5 Things Boomers and Millennials Finally Agree On
Boomers like to complain about Millennials and Gen-Z all the time. Millennials and Gen-Z complain about Boomers all the time too. This kind of begs the question, what happened to Gen-X in all of this? Well, just like society’s complaints, we’re going to look past the Gen-Xers in this post. Buzzfeed asked a bunch of Millennials & Gen-Zers about certain boomer complaints that they agree with. Do we have more in common than we think?
1. Going to a party? Don’t go empty-handed
This is correct. Even if it’s a small desert or something. Even better, ask the host what they need or what you can bring. They’ll tell you exactly what they need.
2. Music is always too loud
I’m not sure I always agree with this, but that could be because I have headphones on every day and it’s affecting my hearing. If you ask my wife then yes, everything is too loud.
3. Touchscreens aren’t the end all be all
Sometimes a good knob or button works better. Plus if it’s a button or knob you’re not going to have to constantly wipe your fingerprints off of it. Instead, you just have to wipe your kid’s grubby peanut butter or grease marks off it before. Don’t procrastinate or those buttons and knobs are going to get crusty and gross.
4. Give me a physical damn menu. I’m not down for your information stealing QR code
Print out the menu. Even if it’s just a printed piece of paper. It doesn’t have to be a hard menu or fancy heavy paper stock. Just put something in my hands that I don’t have to zoom in and out on to find where the cheesesteak eggrolls are!
5. Stop setting off fireworks late at night when it’s not July 4th
Couldn’t agree more. I really never cared until I had kids and a dog that vibrates during thunderstorms and fireworks. It’s unnecessary to fire them up on a random Tuesday night because you got bored and you’re off tomorrow.
Allowing Boomers to know some of their complaints are righteous is nice, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves and let the get big heads about this stuff. If you’d like to check out the full list it’s here.

With a whole new generation coming of age comes a whole new generation that needs to be educated on The Beatles. You may have played them these songs as kids, but now that they’re older, they need to truly appreciate them. The band wrote such profound lyrics that permeate time and still ring true today.
Most of the songs on this list talk about important issues probably facing Gen Z today, such as self discovery and, of course, love. And let’s face it. Bands today may not have existed had it not been for The Beatles. For example, Nirvana, Radiohead, and even Queen have said they were all influenced by the iconic band. If you go back in the history of your favorite band or artist and who they were inspired by, it’s nearly impossible NOT to find The Beatles.
It’s hard to appreciate where music’s roots lie when you were born and live so far in the future of it. That’s why it’s up to those who know to educate the younger ones who don’t. It feels like Gen Z needs The Beatles now more than ever. Not only just for foundational music knowledge, but also for life advice.
The Beatles were in their teens and 20s during the peak of their career. They had angst. So Gen Z, keep in mind that the age you’re hitting now is the age they were in the 60s. Their longevity is due to the fact that they’re just so dang relatable. They wrote these songs while they were going through what you’re going through now! So with that being said,
Here are 13 Beatles songs you need to play for Gen Z:
