I assumed it was a dumpster fire that couldn't be put out. Maybe Las Vegas dumpster fires don't burn as hot as New York Giants dumpster fires. Until the Eagles play a complete game on both offense and defense the Ravens might be the best team in football. They're 7-2, their defense is great and Lamar Jackson is playing at an MVP level. The Browns have a good defense also, but their offense is middle of the road. To stay close to this Ravens team you need to be able to score points, but that's an issue for the Browns. Cleveland struggles to do that at the pace needed in this game. Ravens join the Eagles at 8 wins and cover the 6 1/2.

Lions @ Chargers DET -3

Detroit is one of the top NFC teams, but normally I'd bet against Jared Goff on the road. This is one of the exceptions to that thinking. He's used to playing in a dome in Detroit. They head out to LA to play the Chargers in a dome. It looks like the lions will be getting RB David Montgomery back this week, giving them another weapon. The Chargers just can't put it together under Brandon Staley. I don't expect that to change. I like Detroit to cover the 3 and keep pace with the resting Eagles.

Sirianni wore the threads with authority as the home crowd cheered on the Birds. An outstanding performance from the defensive line inspired nostalgia for beloved teams with Reggie White and Jerome Brown. White’s son even attended the game and drew a loud ovation from the Philadelphia crowd.

The Eagles are more central to the culture of their city than any other team in the NFL. Generations of Philadelphians have passed down fandom to their children and grandchildren. Wearing the Kelly Green has become a tribute to the long history.
