Yesterday was another WMGK Annual Turkey Drop for the books!

Every year I look forward to this day to see just how far we can push our limits as far as donations go and if we can continue to top our previous numbers.

It’ll take a couple of days before we find out the total number of donations, but I have high hopes that we will have the highest total numbers yet!

I want to send a huge thank you to every single one of you who took the time to donate – whether that be a turkey, a coupon for a turkey, or a good old-fashioned cash donation, none of it would have been possible without your generosity.

No matter the size of the donation, every little bit counts toward our final numbers and helping provide meals to the less fortunate during this holiday season.

So thank you all, and just know that it is not lost on us – the entire MGK staff appreciates your kindness, and I am sure those who are the recipients of the donations will be extremely grateful as well.

Beyond all the generous people of the Delaware Valley who donated to the WMGK Annual Turkey Drop 2023, I want to send some shoutouts to all the people behind the scenes who made it a success.

That starts with our amazing promotions director at the station, Kara Lester! She did a fantastic job coordinating the many moving parts of the WMGK Annual Turkey Drop.

Of course, it wouldn’t have been possible without all the kind people involved with the Kimmel Center for allowing us to do our broadcast for The Matt Cord Show With Steve Vassalotti on site!

Next, I want to thank City Team Philadelphia for facilitating the donations and making sure many, many people in need during this holiday season get the Thanksgiving meal they deserve this year.

Finally, last but certainly not least, all of our amazing guests and sponsors who stopped by the broadcast or donated to the cause! Without you, the event would not be nearly as successful, so thank you!

I can’t wait to get the final numbers, and I can’t wait to do it all over again next year with the WMGK Annual Turkey Drops 2024!
