Bad Hygiene Habits That Are Way Too Common

When I was in 7th grade, I was a winner in our grade school science fair. I believe I came in 3rd place. Go me! My project was the typical easy kid's project, which room in your house has the most bacteria. Kitchen, family room or bathroom. Turns out it's the kitchen. Makes sense, right? Lots of raw food, maybe you didn't wipe the counter well enough. 3rd place! I then got my ass handed to me at the George Washington Carver Science Fair. I didn't stand a chance against real science nerds.
I'm talking about bacteria in a science project because I stumbled upon a bad hygiene thread on reddit. Some of the comments on the thread are real head scratchers. Here are some that I, and maybe you, might be guilty of. Also some that are no-brainers and gross that people don't do it.
Just rinsing your hands in the bathroom. This was the first one on the thread and I knew some of these were going to be a doozy after the first response to this: Post- "Remember the beginning of the pandemic, when the government had to remind people to use SOAP?" Response- "I remember my aunt telling me, ohh the gov is telling everyone to shower with soap. And we were like ??? Did you not though? And she said, no I use lemon"
I pity the person who has to sit next to that aunt at family functions!
Not cleaning your belly button. Ok. When my kids were really little they found my belly button to be hilarious. One time my middle child was figuring out where his belly button was and wanted to see mine. He and the older one decided to see if they could make their finger disappear. They found lint in it, and I've never lived it down.
Not washing your sheets and pillowcases enough. If you were to poll men and women, there is no doubt the majority of men might wash their sheets like two times a year. We're the gross sex on this planet.
Flushing with the toilet lid up. If you have little boys this doesn't matter because they have already peed all over the seat, probably the floor and the trash can. Maybe the water droplets leaving your toilet will help clean the pee better.
Peep the full thread to find out just where you rank on the gross human list: bad hygiene thread.
Radical! Here Are Pictures Of MGK’s Radio DJs In The 80s
Ah, the 1980s. Nothing like big hair, acid-wash jeans, and leg warmers. As a treat, here are pictures of MGK's radio DJs in the 80s.
You know 80’s rock. All of the hairspray, guy-liner, and spandex. The decade of hair bands, metal, hard rock, and headbangers. Long hair was flying and men had bangs. Live-aid, Back to the Future, and an Olympic hockey victory over the Soviet Union.
It’s one of the best eras of music. And so many great artists came out of it all. We know you have these acts on your playlists and listen to them on MGK daily. You probably still have their records, er- cassettes?
Everyone loves a good throwback. So, for fun, we compiled pictures of MGK's jocks in the 1980s. We all know what they look like now, but do you know what they looked like way back when? Did they have bad hair? Did they wear embarrassing clothes?
A lot of them were already in the radio business! They were just getting their start in the 'biz. And some, well, they were only just born! These photos are true time capsules of the era we all know and love.
Enjoy these pictures of MGK's radio DJs in the 80s:
Matt Cord

Here is Matt Cord, your morning show host, with Tommy Stinson of The Replacements circa 1988. Back when Matt's hair required its own zip code.
Eric Johnson

"Andre Gardner took this photo here in the parking lot at 1 Bala Plaza. It has to be like 1984.

Paul Kelly

Here's a shot of Paul Kelly in the 80s with the hard rock band, Night Ranger.
Angel Donato

Rick Springfield makes another appearance here! This is not from the 80s, but rather with an 80s icon. Here's Angel Donato feeling like "Jessie's Girl" hanging out with 80's Heartthrob Rick Springfield.
