Netflix Series With Final Seasons Airing in 2025
See the Netflix shows that will not be returning for another season. It’s time to rewatch the previous seasons before the final one airs and say goodbye to characters you’ve spent hundreds of hours with.
Stranger Things
The Duffer Brother’s sci-fi, horror and mystery thriller, Stranger Things will end its epic run this year. After debuting in 2016, the show has been a pop culture favorite, effectively blending nostalgia with supernatural mysteries in the small town of Hawkins. The show launched mainstream media success of child actors (who aren’t children anymore!) and veteran actors. The final season promises to bring closure to the characters’ story arcs.
Squid Game
The unexpected hit Korean survival thriller TV show, Squid Game will also air its final season this 2025. The show will end after its third season, where we expect the games to be deadlier and the stakes to be higher, especially after that cliffhanger from Season 2!
Big Mouth
Big Mouth is an animated coming-of-age TV show created by Nick Kroll, Mark Levin, Andrew Goldberg and Jennifer Flackett. Loosely based on Kroll and Goldberg’s upbringing in New York, the show talks about puberty. It also features the voices of John Mulaney, Jason Mantzoukas, Jenny Slate, and Fred Armisen among others. Its eighth season premiering this year, is its final one.
Heartbreak High
A reboot of the 1994 series of the same name, Heartbreak High is an Australian TV show that follows the students and teachers of Hartley High dealing with high school romances, teen angst and socially relevant issues like racial tensions. Critics loved the first season, although the second season divided fans and critics. It was renewed for a third and last season airing this year.
MO
Loosely based on Mo Amer’s life, the comedy-drama MO will also end this year. The series, in its second and final season, shows Amer’s experiences as a Palestinian refugee living in Houston, Texas. Season 2 will premiere on January 30, 2025.
You
The Penn Badgley-starring serial killer drama returns to Netflix for its swan season. Badgley will return as Joe Goldberg, along with Tati Gabrielle from seasons 3 and 4, and Charlotte Ritchie from season 4. Additional cast members include Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, and Griffin Matthews. Series co-creator Sera Gamble has left as showrunner, replaced by Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo.
