Thank You for a Successful Turkey Drop 2023

Thank you to everyone who took part in today's Turkey Drop 2023. Thanks to the MGK listeners who stopped by our ACME locations to donate a frozen turkey, free turkey coupon, cash and checks. Also a thanks to those who made a donation online to City Team Philadelphia. If you missed the Turkey Drop, you can still donate through the holiday and weekend. We have to give a big thank you to the MGK airstaff, Andre Gardner, Tony Harris and Eric Johnson, Paul Kelly, Cindy Drue, Leigh Richards and Deanna Marie for volunteering their time to be out collecting at different ACME locations in the area. Another person needing thanks is our buddy Jacky Bam Bam, from our sister station WMMR, for getting up early to help out at our Voorhees, New Jersey location. Many members of the sales and promotions staff also took to the streets to help the collect throughout the area. Without all of this help from people in house at Beasley Philly, Turkey Drop wouldn't be possible. Speaking of making it possible, the amazing partners who stepped up to donate turkeys and monetary donations to put meals on people's plates for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Tom Lofland and ACME Markets, our co-sponsor who allow us to take over space in their parking lots throughout the area, while also supporting City Team through their donatation. Carrie Nork Minelli and Parx Casino for sending a a truck-full of turkeys directly to City team. Dietz and Watson for lending us 4 trucks to get your donations to City Team's headquarters shortly after Turkey Drop ended. Thank you to Wendell Young and all the members at UFCW Local 1776. Bryant Greene and Always Best Care came through once again. Ron Derouin and Kaitlyn Shoeffel from Davis Honda for once again going above and beyond to help City Team. Dave Kelleher and his amazing donation from David Dodge. Dave is also helping City Team with their Adopt-a-child drive. Details on how you can help this amazing event. Dave Magrogan made a great donation on behalf of his restaurants, Harvest and Monterey Prime Grill. Sixers play-by-play announcer Kate Scott stopped by and donated. Sixer Minority owner David Adelman called in to make a donation from Kansas City after watching the Eagles beat the Chiefs. Finally, thank you to the Kimmel Center for giving us the location to broadcast the Turkey Drop. Thanks to Jose Garces for supplying the coffee and hot chocolate on a very cold November morning.
