Perhaps the most well-known Doobie Brother joined us this morning to talk about his life in the band. This, of course, is coming on the heels of their newly-released book “Long Train Runnin’: Our Story Of The Doobie Brothers, which was co-written by our good buddy Chris Epting.
Tom Johnston talked forming the band, meeting Pat Simmons, bringing Michael McDonald into the fold, and even having Stevie Nicks as a neighbor in their early years. He also touched on many of their hit songs and how they came to be, including one that forced him to wake their producer up at 3 in the morning!
