Late last week, my girlfriend and I spent an extended weekend in gorgeous Naples, Florida, so I figured I would share some details about the trip and post some pictures for you all to enjoy as well!
First off, what a beautiful part of our country!
It seems like every day there is a gorgeous sunset to enjoy – even when it is the rainy season down there during the summer because the storms only last no more than an hour, but luckily for us, there was not a single storm during our trip!
The sun disappearing over powder-like white sand beaches and the perfect emerald-hued ocean waters is definitely something you can only enjoy while down in Florida.
But do not worry all my Jersey Shore lovers, the sunsets over those beaches are equally beautiful in their own way, too!
Swimming in the emerald waters, we saw dolphins swimming every day and manatees swimming alongside the beachgoers. It was incredible!
Plus, there were marked-off areas on the beach for spots where sea turtles nest!
Also on our trip, we enjoyed a nice bike ride where we got to take in all the beautiful surroundings aside from the beaches, including the palm trees, all the tropical fruit growing from the trees, and the pristine golf courses – which seems like there are a million of them down there!
We also walked past the house that used to belong to George G. Beasley, the founder of Beasley Media Group, along the beach in Naples!
It looked like an amazing place to wake up every morning!
Of course, as I wrote about yesterday – which you can check out right here – we enjoyed a few dinners at a great spot called Seed to Table!
Overall, the trip was such a fun time!
When it was sadly all over, at least heading to the best airport around in Fort Myers eased the pain a little bit!
There are no shuttles or tram cars, it is small, clean, and has great restaurant choices as well!
Plus, all the terminals are within walking distance and the baggage claim and rental car system is as easy as it gets!
If you are looking for your next vacation, definitely consider flying into Fort Myers and visiting Naples!
