Philadelphia’s Music Walk of Fame Ceremony and Gala
Philadelphia Music Alliance added 7 new names to the Walk of Fame October 22, 2019. Cyndy Drue covered the events at noon at the Avenue of the Arts and the big Gala that evening at the Bellevue. See the video report:
Those acknowledged for their musical contributions were: The Hooters, Pierre Robert, The O’Jays, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Jody Gerson, Evelyn Champagne King and Dorrance Do Do Hamilton.
Their names are now on plaques in the sidewalk along the Avenue of the Arts in Center City Philadelphia. The Hooters were inducted by Todd Rundgren who is featured in the video.
