Rick Moranis Confirmed for ‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’ Reboot
Rick Moranis has been confirmed to return to the Disney+ series reboot of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Moranis will reprise the role of Wayne Szalinski in the series Shrunk, with Josh Gad tapped to play son, Adam Szalinski, who becomes a scientist like his father. Joe Johnston, who directed the original 1989 film, will return to helm the series.
This will mark the first on-screen role for Moranis in over two decades. The actor, who’s also known for his roles in Ghostbusters, Little Shop of Horrors and Parenthood, famously slowed down his acting career to raise his two children after his wife passed away from cancer in 1991.
