Halloween has passed, the leaves are starting to change to all sorts of beautiful colors, and November has finally turned the corner.
That means one of the station’s coolest and nicest events is upon us and I could not be any more excited!
WMGK’s Annual John Debella Turkey Drop, presented by ACME Markets and Parx Casino, was announced yesterday and we are hoping for another great year of donations to an amazing cause.
Once again, JDB, myself, and the rest of the WMGK on-air staff will be spread out throughout the greater Philadelphia area collecting turkeys and other monetary donations for Cityteam Philadelphia.
Cityteam Philadelphia is a great organization that provides meals to less fortunate individuals and families in our amazing city during the holidays.
We all know times are tough, and maybe even tougher than ever for some, so I am so proud to be a part of this cause for another year. Hopefully, we can bring in a ton of donations and provide a Thanksgiving meal many can look forward to this year!
The event takes place on Tuesday, November 22nd from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m., and I will be at the same location I was last year. The ACME in South Philly!
Check out the photo above from last year’s turkey drop of me hanging out with Paula Decker from our sales department!
If you can not make it on the actual date, do not worry! You can donate right here!
We hope to see you all out and about on the 22nd and we are thankful for any donation, no matter how big or how small because it really can change a person’s holiday for the better!
Check out the official page for more details!
