“Extreme sports also offer a unique insight into how we push our limits and discover ourselves,” Storage Café explains. In order to determine which extreme sports people are seeking out they compiled and analyzed a year’s worth of search data, and then compared them to previous trends.
As a result, they found that skateboarding, mountain biking, and rock climbing are as expected, the most popular three extreme sports across America. In fact, one of those is also Pennsylvania’s choice for our most popular extreme sport.
This thrilling sport compiled 22,460 searches in the year. Skateboarding and rock climbing rounded out Pennsylvania’s top three extreme sports interests.
There are many well-established mountain bike adventures throughout the Keystone State. Visit PA recently listed 13 different suggestions. Allegheny National Forest, Lebanon Valley, and numerous mountain resorts, like Blue Mountain, offer great trails for you to hop on.
In the Pocono Mountains they have guides for every biking type. There are beginner trails, courses, and lessons. Experienced riders can then hop on their bike and head over to explore 32 miles throughout the Delaware Water Gap. Don’t forget your extra inflatable tire, however.
Lastly, Storage Café points out that many extreme sports have seen significant year-over-year growth in America. “Rock climbing was the biggest standout with a huge 83% increase in interest, while scuba diving takes second place with a 50% increase in average monthly searches year-over-year,” they say.
