You check in, head up to your room, and put the wallet away for your stay. There's a heightened level of relaxation when the trip you're on has everything already included. Travel and Leisure published a report on the best all-inclusive destinations in America for 2023, and a resort in Pennsylvania made the list.

Often travelers think of island paradise locations when considering all-inclusive trips to take. While there certainly are amazing options in places like the Caribbean, there are now some under-the-radar escapes within the country. All-you-can-eat and drink options are included in your vacation booking. There's no need for a passport. And driving a few hours might be a more attractive option than spending a day in an airport and in a plane.

As Travel and Leisure points out, booking an all-inclusive resort is very helpful in properly budgeting costs. "While private sessions like spa treatments are rarely included, it's easier to factor in extras because you know exactly how much you're spending upfront," they explain.

So, what is this Pennsylvania destination that was named one of the best all-inclusive resorts in America? Let's hop in the car and find out.

Skytop Lodge - Skytop, PA in the Pocono Mountains

Described as your 5,500-acre playground, Skytop Lodge has been a memory-making vacation spot since 1928. Accommodation types include staying in the main lodge, the newly renovated private Inn, or at a cottage on the grounds.

Regardless of where you pick to stay, chances are you won't be in the room much due to the wide range of activities at your disposal. Of course, there is skiing close by in the winter and golf, swimming, and boating on the ground for the warmer months. However, activities like the Treetop Adventure course or Falconry (an interactive experience with a Raptor) really set Skytop apart.

As part of this Pennsylvania all-inclusive resort experience, guests can choose between two meal plan options. The American Modified meal plan includes breakfast and dinner at the main dining location. Or the flexible plan enables you to go to any of the restaurants at the resort.
