Pigskin Picks NFL Week 3
It’s time for Pigskin Picks NFL Week 3. We’re back to where we started last season, 2-1. Let’s hope to keep that 2-1 streak going for a while like with did early in the 2022 NFL Season. On the air Pat Egan is off to a good 4-0 start (only picks 2 games per hit) while I sit at 3-3. Not great for rubbing it in his face yet, but good for him and hopefully you’re locked in to his picks segment. If you are then he’s hooked you up pretty nicely to start the year. For this week we’re back to having an Eagles pick since they’re on Monday night. As always Pigskin Picks is brought to you by Parx Casino and Sportsbook – this is how you win – must be 21 – gambling problem call 1-800-gambler.
LAST WEEK’S RECORD: 2-1. OVERALL RECORD: 3-3
Bills @ Commanders: BUF -6.5
Sam Howell returns to Sam Howell. Maybe one day he will be a great QB for the Washington Commanders, but Sunday is not that day. The Bills offense is too high powered. Washington’s defense isn’t bad, but just like the Jets vs the Cowboys last week it’s going to be run down by the 2nd half. Too many weapons on one offense vs and inexperienced rookie QB on the other offense. You can throw this all out the window, because it’s going to be nasty all weekend. Wet field conditions, a good running back and run D in Washington. Normal weather I think they can’t keep up. Tropical Storm Ophelia has other plans. Buffalo hands Josh Harris his first loss as an NFL owner, but the Commanders make it a closer game than it should be.
PICK – Washington
Colts @ Ravens: BAL – 8
This game is in the same general location as my first pick and weather could play a role. The thing is we’re likely going to see Gardner Minshew out there as the Colts QB. Anthony Richardson is in the concussion protocol and hasn’t practiced this week. Either way, the Colts are going to struggle against this Baltimore team. Look for Lamar Jackson to hook up with Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers all day, while the defense swarms Minshew. Too much fire power, and if it is Minshew, although he’s entertaining, he’s not going to put up much of a fight. Baltimore blowout.
PICK – Baltimore
Eagles @ Tampa Bay: PHI -4.5
Todd Bowles got the best of Jalen Hurts in their first meeting. That was a completely different quarterback. A young quarterback who was confused by a defense led by a very good defensive coordinator. This Jalen Hurts confuses defenses. I do expect the Bucs to put up some points in this game because they have two very good receiver in Mike Evans and Penn State alum Chris Godwin. I also expect the Birds offense to start getting back to what they were last year. Punch the defense in the mouth with your offensive line, then let your 2 stud wide receivers feast. Eagles cover, and AJ Brown has a big game. Guarantee at least 1 TD for him.
PICK – Eagles
