Woman’s Boston Tea Party Halloween Decorations Scream America! F**k Yea!
The Team America: World Police theme song said it best, “America! F*ck yea!“(AUDIO NSFW). Massachusetts resident, Melissa and Bob Krygowski’s Boston Tea Party Halloween decorations scream, America, F**k Yea! On her front lawn is a 74-foot-long boat filled with skeletons dumping boxes of tea over the side. Celebrating a mostly American holiday, while paying homage to one of the great American acts of defiance against the British Empire is as American as it gets. Melissa said the crew of 30 skeletons is called “The Funny Bone Bunch”. The couple uses their elaborate Halloween displays to raise money for The Jimmy Fund for cancer research. When people visit the setup in person they have a QR code you can scan to donate, or go to The Jimmy Fund Facebook page.
The amazing American history of Boston Tea Party Halloween decorations got me thinking about what other American historical events we could use those skeletons to portray…
The Funky Bone Bunch Cross the Delaware. Perfect setup. Put one in a tri-corner hat, then others pushing the boat through the icy waters. They could even be using other skeleton bones as their oars.
The Funky Bone Bunch Tells the Brits to Shove It. 30 skeletons signing the Declaration of Independence!
The Funky Bone Bunch Kiss in Times Square post WW2. We all know the famous photo of people celebrating in Time Square and in the foreground is a sailor kissing a woman. Strap on a sailor suit to one skeleton and a white dress on the other. Bang. Iconic picture!
The Funky Bone Bunch runs The Philly Special in SB 52. There is no more iconic moment in American Sports history.
Timely: The Funky Bone Bunch Climb the Greased Poles in Philadelphia. As of this writing (Monday 10/23 10:35a), no celebration has taken place. If the Phillies win tonight and advance to the World Series for the 2nd straight season, expect pole climbing to commence!
