Inaugural Philadelphia Cocktail Festival to Showcase Innovation from City’s Mixologists
The Philadelphia region’s master mixologists will have a new venue to showcase their innovation at the inaugural Philadelphia Cocktail Festival. The event will be held on Saturday, March 29, at the 23rd Street Armory, 22 S. 23rd St., in Fitler Square.
Guests 21 and older can sample mixed drinks and local spirits during two ticketed sessions, running from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tickets for either of the sessions are $39 per person. VIP tickets, which grant admission one hour earlier, are $59 per person. All guests, including designated drivers, need tickets to enter the armory.
Attendees will be able to sample one drink from among several participating bars and restaurants, including a.bar, Fork, La LLorona, Prohibition, and Taproom. Various distillers will also be present to share samples of their liquors, including Ashlynn Distillery, Dad’s Hat, Illadelphia Spirits, and Stateside Vodka. While admission includes samples of the liquor, alcohol service will be denied to visibly intoxicated guests.
Craft Hospitality, which created the Philadelphia Beer Festival, is organizing this event. DJ Mr. Hollywood will provide music and entertainment.
“The city is home to impressive bar talent that is constantly pushing boundaries, blending tradition with fresh ideas,” a Craft Hospitality spokesperson said in an email to the Philly Voice. “It’s a vibrant scene, more willing to take bold risks and create. The cocktails — and hospitality — are world-class.”
