Top 10 Travel Bucket List: How Many Have You Done?
Everyone has a travel bucket list. Whether your travel bucket list is long or short there are things on it that are easy to complete and some that might be a lot tougher. The travel company out of the UK called Kuoni has put together a list of the Top 10 Travel Bucket List items people have. For their research they took a look at the most travel searches. They included African Safari’s, all 50 states, Mount Everest and other bucket list items of the same level into their research. They also broke it down into United States of America Bucket List and Europe Bucket list items too. Maybe we’ll make this a series of posts and see how many we’ve all done.
In this one we’ll stick with a few from the world wide top 10 travel bucket list items. How many have you done? How many of these items match your travel bucket list items?
#8 Visit the Taj Majal
Seems like it would be pretty cool. It’s an amazing piece of architecture and history. Depending on when you’re there, air pollution could be an issue. Going to India also test your willingness to be near 100,000s of people in hot to more hot weather all the time. Not on the bucket list.
#6 See the Northern Lights
This is on my list. I’m always jealous of people who’ve seen the Northern Lights, but haven’t had to travel to see them. Almost had a chance up at Lake George, NY this past summer, but of course it was a rainy, cloudy night. On the bucket list!
#4 Visit Boro Boro
Anywhere in the South Pacific is on people’s travel bucket list, but the gorgeous beaches, clear water and secluded islands of Bora Bora put it higher on people’s list.
#2 Get splashed by Niagara Falls
An item that most of us reading this won’t need to leave the country for, although you could if you want to see the Canadian side of the falls. Of course you’ll need a ride on the Maid of the Mist to get you an up close and personal look at the power of these falls. 3,160 tons of water flow over the falls every second! Add it to the list, both the American and Canadian side of the falls.
#1 Visit the Maldives
Everyone has this on their travel bucket list if it’s coming in at #1. The classic straw roofed bungalows you see situated over the water. Views of the ocean and nothing else in sight for miles. Is it on your list? It is for me.
