Oakland Athletics New City Rumored For Years
It’s been said for years now that the Oakland Athletics are in need of a new home. The Oakland-Alameda Coliseum was in desperate need of an upgrade. A new stadium was pitched and put in front of lawmakers but financial woes have plagued the plan from the beginning.
Ownership of the team began exploring other options of potential locations. They explored Portland, Montreal, San Jose and Nashville. Worth noting, Montreal previously had a team before the Expos moved to Washington, D.C., and became the Nationals.
But there was one place that was always favored…
Las Vegas Was Always The First Choice
Since the beginning of the relocation rumors, Las Vegas has always been the number-one choice for the franchise. If you remember, the Oakland Raiders moved to Las Vegas officially in January of 2020 and now it looks like the city will have a Major League Baseball team.
According to KTNV, here’s what the A’s President Dave Kaval had to say…
The A’s and Red Rock Resorts are close to agreeing on a $1 billion deal for a stadium north of Allegiant Stadium. They finalized a location on Tropicana and the I-15.

The Oakland Athletics have signed a binding agreement to purchase land for a new retractable roof ballpark… The A’s will work with Nevada and Clark County on a public-private partnership to fund the stadium.
