It seems that the Phillies City Connect Jersey may have leaked on the internet and fans have a lot to say about it. If you scroll down, you can see what many believe to be the leaked jersey, make sure to let us know what you think!

Phillies City Connect Jersey LEAKED?

In the very first year of the City Connect jersey, we saw seven teams rep their city in a different way. The Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, and the San Francisco Giants all flashed their new looks in the very first season. The intention of these jerseys is to pay homage to the hometown of the team in a special way.

In 2022, we got the look from more teams including the Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Angels, Milwaukee Brewers, and the San Diego Padres.

Then this past season, we saw new jerseys from the Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles, and Pittsburgh Pirates.

So what about the rest of the teams? Well, that’s when the 2024 season comes into play. 20 teams have already released their new looks, which only leaves ten more teams to go, one of them being the Phillies. But as you will learn, if you’re bringing a new one in, one has to go.

Why A New Jersey For The Phillies?

Phillies Nation informed us of a special rule that Nike has. They explained that “Nike has a ‘4+1’ rule, meaning they will produce four jerseys per team, and five if the fifth is a City Connect uniform.

So let’s look at the four jerseys that the Phillies will be wearing in the 2024 season and then the fifth and final one being the rumored City Connect jersey that will be worn this season as well. In addition, to which jersey will NOT be worn to follow the Nike rule stated above.

  • Pinstripes

The iconic home look for our Philadelphia Phillies is the pinstripes. Just a classic video for the South Philly team, you know it and you love it. So this ain’t going anywhere because it’s just too classic.

  • Cream

This also has ties to the team’s history. A great home alternate jersey that has always been very popular with the fans. Also, not going anywhere anytime soon!

  • Powder Blue

Keep this amazing color in the roster. This is quite frankly my favorite look for the Phillies. What an amazing color, it’s about time I spring the cash for a jersey. So fresh!

  • Gray

This is a classic away jersey look you see across Major League Baseball. It does the job. Don’t LOVE it but also every team has and needs just a classic away gray look. This is ours!

  • Leaked City Connect

A Phillies jersey was found on eBay has fans are questioning if this is the 2024 City Connect jersey that bumped the red one out of rotation. And if it is, not sure fans are embracing it the way that team wanted the city to. Even Sports Illustrated wrote about the possible leak.
