From the SRPD:

Our suspect from yesterday sure did make a splash! SRPD received a report of an unwanted subject associated with a Nissan Pathfinder, driving recklessly in a parking lot near the 600 block of Canal Street. Officers arrived on scene and throughout the investigation discovered the suspect was the registered owner of the vehicle and had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest.

The suspect then decided that diving into the canal was the best idea to get away from our officers.

While fleeing from our officers, the suspect stole a paddle board! After some time, the suspect was taken into custody and no one was harmed during this incident. The suspect was booked into Marin County Jail for his outstanding warrant and other criminal charges.
