Evil Genius Beer Co. Hosts Pup Block Pawty In Fishtown
It’s time to pawty! Philadelphia’s Evil Genius Beer Co. is hosting a family-friendly day full of activities for both dogs and their humans. The “Block Pawty” dubbed “Did We Just Become Best Friends?” will take place on Saturday, May 20th from 12:00pm to 7:00pm on the 1700 block of N. Front Street in Fishtown, outside of their taproom (1727 N. Front St). The event is free to attend as well as family and dog friendly so be sure to bring the whole crew out for the day.
Evil Genius Beer Co’s spacious beer garden has become an oasis for furry friends and their beer drinking owners. The beer garden, conveniently located adjacent to their taproom in Fishtown has been named a “Top Beer Garden in Philadelphia” by both Philly Bite and Visit Philly, in addition to having made Philly Mag’s list of “Best Dog-Friendly Restaurants and bars” in the City of Brotherly Love.
“Our guests love to bring their dogs to the beer garden”, said Ryan Keller, Marketing Manager at Evil Genius. “When the sun comes out, the beer garden is packed with our furry friends and at our previous block parties we’ve noticed that lots of people bring their pups to hang out with them, so we figured we’d throw a party that they can enjoy too. There’s going to be a ton of entertainment for both dogs and their owners at the event” Keller continued.
During the Block Pawty, four-legged companions can look forward to fresh baked dog treats from Amelie’s Bark Shop as well as dog toys and treats from Doggie Style Pets. Heart & Paw as well as the Pet Mechanic will have booths detailing their veterinary services as well as free giveaway items. Two non-profit charities, Saved Me Rescue and The City of Elderly Love, will be in attendance with adoptable dogs.
The Lally Brothers Band will be playing all of your favorite throwback songs from 2-6pm. The Burrito Feliz food truck and Grippy’s Cookie Co. will have food and treats available. There will also be free axe throwing courtesy of Axecessive Force and free face painting for both kids and adults from Fabulous Faces Face Painters. Of course, Evil Genius will have an outside bar featuring pints of their beer as well as canned offerings from Canary Cocktails and Stateside Vodka.
