The Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders are willing to help you get ready for the audition. A pre-audition workshop to help you prepare.

Have you ever thought of becoming a Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader? Think you have what it takes? Auditions are coming up, and the current squad wants to help you prepare.

The Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders have one of the very best spots in the Linc to watch and cheer for the Philadelphia Eagles. They certainly work for it though. To make the cut you’ve got to have a little bit of everything. Dance experience, cheer experience, personality, looks, and a little something special too. Pizazz? It’s a gig that isn’t for everyone, but it doesn’t hurt to dream. If you think you have what it takes to make the team this year, the audition process officially begins on Saturday, March 9th. The process begins with virtual open-call auditions. The open call happens between March 9th and March 23rd, but the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders are giving potential new teammates a great head start with an upcoming workshop.

Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders Pre-Audition Workshop

If you’re not quite audition-ready, the current Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders want to help. This Wednesday, February 28th they’re hosting a pre-audition workshop. It’s happening at Lincoln Financial Field from 7-9:30pm. Evening hours too, if you have a day job to attend. BTW, don’t quit your day job. Just like any good superhero, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders lead double lives and have some pretty impressive resumes and skill sets besides cheering. Their impressive positions in their ‘day jobs’ range from everything from an analytical chemist to a women’s historian and published author. So, yeah. Hang on to that day job, and hopefully, you can add Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader to your resume in 2024.

Workshop Details

When: Wednesday, February 28th, 7pm-9:30pm

Where: Lincoln Financial Field – Hyundai Club

What: A 2.5-hour workshop designed to prepare candidates for Open Call Auditions. The evening will be conducted similarly to an Eagles Cheerleaders rehearsal. You also get a jump start on the audition routine. Participants in the pre-audition workshop will have the opportunity to learn the open-call audition dance routine first and from the current Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders themselves. There are lots of other tips too, including how to best film your audition.

Benefits of the In-Person Workshop:

  • A step-by-step breakdown of the Open Call Audition Routine by Eagles Cheerleaders Choreographer Stephanie Demby-Afum
  • Demonstration and assistance by current members of the Eagles Cheerleaders squad
  • A concentration on dance techniques to improve kicks turns, and stage presence
  • Across-the-floor choreography, stretches to increase flexibility, and Eagles Cheerleaders dance warm-up
  • Tips on how to film Open Call Auditions, including recommendations for lighting, space, audio, attire, phone camera angle, and more

Qualifications needed:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for community outreach and helping others
  • Ability to master professional-level dance choreography
  • Strong teamwork skills; enthusiastic, friendly, positive attitude
  • Ability to successfully perform the physical requirements involved in performing dance
  • Schedule flexibility including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or G.E.D required

5 Things the Philadelphia Eagles Are Doing to Make a Comeback

I know that it’s hard to be optimistic about the Philadelphia Eagles right now. I mean, how did we go from 10-1 to 11-6? It happened so quickly. It was like a downward spiral, and it was hard to watch but also hard to look away. What a crazy end of the season. Sure, we’re sad, but let’s talk about some things the Philadelphia Eagles are doing to make a comeback next season.

Before we get to the changes of who the team is bringing on, let’s talk about how many coaches parted ways with the Eagles. Of course, head coach Nick Sirianni is still at the helm. But, the Philadelphia Eagles’ coaching staff has gone through some major changes following the difficult end to the 2023 season. Even though most of the talk has been about the changes on the defensive end, there have also been a lot of changes in offense. The list of Eagles assistant coaches who will not be returning in 2024 is getting longer, as several Eagles coaches have already found new places in the NFL.

Senior offensive assistant Marcus Brady is leaving the Eagles. He’ll be the pass game coordinator for Jim Harbaugh’s Los Angeles Chargers. No word yet on who will replace Brady. Next, quarterbacks coach Alex Tanney will be the passing game coordinator for the Colts. The Eagles have reportedly hired Doug Nussmeier to be their new quarterbacks coach. Then, assistant offensive line coach Roy Istvan has been tapped to be an assistant OL coach for the Cleveland Browns. Right now, nobody has been brought on to replace him. I’m sure the coaching staff is working hard to find replacements, as they are key roles to fill.

Now, let’s get into my commentary on what important things the Eagles are doing to make a comeback in the 2024 season.

  • 1. They're bringing in fresh blood

    The Eagles, of course, are bringing in a lot of fresh blood on the coaching staff. So far, they’ve hired Doug Nussmeier as quarterbacks coach. For the defensive line, they’ve brought on Clint Hurtt. They’re also reportedly bringing on Christian Parker, likely for defensive backs. Bobby King is another guy reportedly being brough onto the squad, perhaps working with the linebackers. Of course, a huge hire is Kellen Moore as offensive coordinator and Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator.

  • 2. They're turning on the heat on Nick Sirianni

    This is a make or break year for Nick Sirianni. If this team fails doesn’t have a good season and at least make the second round of the playoffs, are don’t see him staying with the franchise. Sirianni is someone who works well under pressure, so he’ll use the heat as motivation to put together the best team possible.

  • 3. They're learning from their mistakes

    At least, I hope so. It seemed like at the end of the season, the Eagles couldn’t even think straight. They got too caught up in the emotions of losing game after game. Now, they’re regrouping. Hopefully the offseason gives players and coaches time to reflect and learn from their mistakes instead of just reacting emotionally to those shortcomings.

  • 4. They're going to communicate better

    Eagles punt returner Britain Covey went on Eagles Now of Chat Sports to talk about the Eagles’ bad end to the season. He says they need to communicate better. “I definitely think we got emotionally tired from trying to figure out what the problem was,” Covey said, via Jimmy Hascup of NJ Advance Media for NJ.com. He added, “There was some miscommunication, I think, from coaches to players.”

  • 5. Jalen Hurts is determined to make this team fly again

    Philadelphia Eagles great Donovan McNabb recently spoke with Bob Brookover of NJ Advance Media for NJ.com about Jalen Hurts. “He understands the city and we’ve talked about it many times,” he said, adding, “The expectations are high and the bar is high and that’s because he made it that way by getting to the Super Bowl last year.” Hurts wants to get back to the Super Bowl, and he’s the kind of guy who is determined to make it happen.
