In-Demand Remote Jobs Paying More Than $100K
If you like working remote, you aren’t alone. In-demand remote jobs are very enticing. Ever since the pandemic, more workers have desired jobs where they work from home for a variety of reasons. Maybe the morning commute is just too long. Perhaps working at home is more comfortable for them. Whatever the reason, remote jobs are here to stay, and many workers prefer them. So, what if you want a remote job but also want to rake in the dough? Here are some in-demand remote jobs that pay more than $100K.
Inside In-Demand Remote Jobs
Remote jobs are getting more difficult to find. CNBC.com notes that, “As of December 2023, remote jobs made up less than 10% of postings advertised on LinkedIn, down from a high of 20.6% in March 2022 — even though close to half of jobseekers prefer remote roles.” They add that, “The good news for remote jobseekers is that some industries are still hiring for roles that can be done from home, and many come with six-figure salaries.” Most of these jobs are senior-level, which is why they pay so well. But, some of them are not.
CNBC.com has put together a tally of in-demand remote jobs that pay very well, as in more than $100,000. To do this, they teamed with FlexJobs, who found the top 10 occupations with the largest number of remote job openings on their website between January and March 2024 that pay more than $100K. FlexJobs provided the data to CNBC Make It, and they lay it out in a new report. “We’ve seen some pretty dramatic changes over the last year with the introduction and adoption of various AI technologies,” Toni Frana, FlexJobs’ lead career expert, told CNBC.com. “Organizations across different industries need tech talent that can help them innovate and keep pace with the quick-changing landscape, and hiring remotely helps them expand their applicant pool.”
So, what are the more in-demand remote jobs that pay a good chunk of change? According to the report, No. 1 is a senior software engineer making $126,956. This job can be done anywhere, and it makes sense that a hot tech job like a senior software engineer would make good money. Other jobs that are in the top five include senior product designer at $128,618, senior product marketing manager at $135,558 and engineering manager at $121,560.
