June 16th is The annual John DeBella Veterans Radiothon broadcast. If you are unaware of what I’m talking about, every June we do a 12-hour-long broadcast raising money for the Veterans Multi-Service Center. Each hour during this event we auction off signed memorabilia from rock stars and athletes. Every dollar we collect goes directly to the Philadelphia Area Veterans Multi-Service Center. A great group that helps returning servicemen and women get back on their feet and return to civilian life through housing, job training, placement, education, clothing, meals, etc.
Over the 16 years that we have done the John DeBella Veterans Radiothon, we have raised well over 2 million dollars for area veterans, thanks to the generosity of the listeners. With this year’s broadcast just a week and a half away the auction items have gone live on eBay. The items will begin to close each hour throughout the Radiothon. This year we have some really great signed items and ridiculous concert experiences up for auction. Scroll down to see the items up for bid.
Throughout the broadcast local & national celebrities will call in and stop by to encourage listeners to make donations.

Monthly Salute Program
This year we’ve added a donation option that allows listeners to assist veterans each month for a year, introducing WMGK’s Monthly Salute Program – you can arrange to make a monthly $15 donation for one year via an online or phone line donation (1800-678-WMGK (9645).
