The way this starts is dumb, and the end is even dumber: A 25-year-old guy in Brooklyn got pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt on Wednesday. And instead of just taking the ticket, he decided to run.
He flung his car door open and hit a cop with it, then took off. So a bunch of cops started chasing him on foot, but had to just stop and watch after he scaled a huge pole (like 30 feet) and climbed onto a subway platform.
That’s where it really got dumb, because he decided his best chance to get away was by JUMPING from the platform onto a nearby building. And it wasn’t an easy jump. He had to make it 10 or 15 feet to not hit the sidewalk.
People on the ground kept telling him the jump wasn’t worth it. But he went for it anyway and actually LANDED it. Then after all that, he hurt his leg when he hit the roof, so he couldn’t run anymore. It’s not clear if he broke it or what, but he got arrested anyway.
