The Philadelphia Phillies welcome a new furry and adorable teammate a service dog in training!.
Today (4/26) the Philadelphia Phillies announced the addition of a new teammate. This one is a bit furrier than Bryce Harper but just as adorable.

According to a press release from the Phillies, Major is 10 months old and already has a very important job.
Named after Phillies’ coach, scout, and goodwill ambassador Maje McDonnel, he comes to the team thanks to the team’s partnership with Team Foster and Warrior Canine Connection. Major is in training to become a service dog for a wounded veteran.
According to the post on the team’s Instagram, “I have the coolest job in the world because I am the Phillies pup…The Phillies are going to help me to become a successful little boy.” His training will take 2 years.
The adorable pure-bred black Labrador joined the team for the first time to check out the facility, meet the Phillie Phanatic, check out his locker and sign his contract. He was also present at Phillies arrivals to greet his new teammates with lots of hugs and kisses.
