As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I had quite an eventful weekend, and a busy Saturday, in particular. I told you all about the Philly Naked Bike Ride I participated in during yesterday’s post, but before that, I was in attendance at WMGK’s sister station, 97.5 The Fanatic’s big event of the year, Fan Fest!

For those of you who do not know, The Fanatic’s Fan Fest is a big party of sorts that they put together for all the fans and listeners of the station. Tickets are free, but you have to win them by calling into the station or attending one of their ticket raid events. The overall idea is to get the station’s community all in one place to celebrate Philly sports, the station’s talent, and the fans alike. Without any of the three, the station would cease to exist.

This was by far the biggest turnout to Fan Fest, and it is only right considering it is the ten-year anniversary of the event. Xfinity Live down at the stadium complex was the perfect place to host the event on a nice sunny August day. Hopefully, everyone was able to find some shade at some point because it was definitely hot!

This year was a star-studded event with musical performances by Rae Sremmurd and Fall Out Boy. They both put on great shows for the crowd, and it looked like everyone was having a great time.

Not only were there musical acts but there were also a handful of former great athletes who played in the city of Philadelphia. The crowd went insane when former Eagles greats Darren Sproles and Nick Foles were announced to the fans.

The former players’ appearances did not stop there, and I actually got to experience the reception of the rest of them being introduced firsthand as I was the one introducing them myself! Those players include Scotty Hartnell, B-Ball Paul, Lou Williams, and the president of hockey operations for the Philadelphia Flyers, Keith Jones!

I was stoked to take part in all of the Fan Fest festivities. I want to send a huge shout-out to all of the people who made it happen and a big congratulations to The Fanatic for putting together the best Fan Fest yet!

Philadelphia Eagles Insider Dave Spadaro’s Wedding at The Linc

We are still hanging on to the last month or so of summer and trying to enjoy it for all we can before it is gone. Don’t get me wrong, I love every season, but summer is just a little different because there are so many different fun things you can do.

Although with that said, it is hard to keep my eyes off of the upcoming Philadelphia Eagles season ahead since it looks like another great season is approaching for the Birds.

But for now, we will keep hanging on to summer for all we’ve got and another season that we are currently in the midst of – wedding season!

Congratulations to my longtime buddy, Dave Spadaro, who got married on Saturday to his beautiful bride, Angela! The ceremony took place on the 50-yard line at the Linc, which is only fitting considering the great work Dave Spadaro does year in and year out for the Eagles.

Anyway, talk about an extremely unique wedding venue! The guests, which I would say were close to 150 of us, entered the field through the tunnel where the Birds players come out while AC/DC’sFor Those About to Rock” played. As we did this, it was captured on the two huge video screens where they show replays at the Linc.

After the ceremony, we all celebrated in the lounge underneath right next to the tunnel. Then, upstairs to the club level for more food and drinks while we danced the night away!

Altogether, it was an awesome night from beginning to end and even Swoop, the mascot for the Eagles, made an appearance! Everyone there looked like they were having a great time, and I know Pattyann and I did for sure!

Once again, congratulations to Dave Spadaro and Angela! Hopefully, the next ceremony on the 50-yard line at the Linc will be for another NFC Championship title in January!

The Lombardi Trophy

The thing Eagles fans of all ages waited a lifetime for right in front of me. What a year that was in 2017-2018. Hopefully, another one is coming soon!

1980 NFC Champions

The first Eagles team to ever reach the Super Bowl. I remember it like it was yesterday. So much fun.

1960 NFL Champions

Prior to 2017, this was the last championship in Eagles' history. This was prior to the Super Bowl being a thing. Thankfully, this isn't the most recent championship anymore.

Swoop!

The mascot of the Philadelphia Eagles, Swoop. I bet you didn't know he doubled as a waiter!

Swoop is Quite The Ladies Mascot

Swoop and the ladies! What an awesome mascot.

Eagles Fight Song Remake For Dave Spadaro's Wedding

A familiar melody, just with different lyrics! What a cool spin-off for a guy that has been devoted to the Eagles for many years.

All the guests entering the field. As I mentioned, we all came in as AC/DC was playing! Amazing.

Eagles TV Broadcast Mentioning The Wedding

During the Eagles' preseason opener, they mentioned the wedding! What a nice gesture!
