Eagles Week 1 Brazil Game To Air On Peacock, Here Is How You Can Watch it
The NFL announced the Eagles would play host for the first-ever game in Brazil. The game will be played on Friday, September 6th, in week 1, the day after the first game of the season. They are set to face off against the Green Bay Packers.
The NFL’s Hans Schroeder announced today the game will air on NBC’s Streaming Service, Peacock.
For those who don’t have Peacock, don’t worry. In the local markets, the game will also air on NBC. If you are an Eagles fan who lives outside the local market though, you may want to think about getting a Peacock Subscription.
Unlike other streaming services, they do not offer a free trial. It currently costs $5.99 a Month. So you could subscribe for 1 month, and then immediately cancel it after the game. You won’t get a refund for the month, but it will keep you from being charged in subsequent months. Short of that, you may just need to find a friend or bar that has a Peacock subscription.
Most of you reading this won’t need to worry though. Like with all of these streaming service games, it is still broadcast on traditional TV in the local market. In this case, on NBC.
Who Will They Play In Brazil?
What is interesting about that game, is how important it is. The Packers will be one of the main teams the Eagles are battling with overseeding. They made some noise last year in the playoffs by blowing out the Cowboys, and nearly taking out the 49ers.
Now, they are among the favorites to contend for the NFC Crown. And the Eagles will lose their home game against them, to instead play them on a neutral site after a long flight. Not exactly the opponent you were hoping for.
The Browns were the hope. It’s an out-of-conference game, but still a good enough opponent to make the game interesting. Drawing the Packers instead, and no longer getting a true home game against them, is a bit of a disadvantage for the Eagles.
