A Jason Kelce Appreciation Post
Legends don’t end up in Philadelphia too often. They’re rarely offensive lineman. Even more unlikely is they’re a center. Jason Kelce defied all of that. For the last 13 seasons we’ve had the pleasure of watching him put on an Eagles uniform and help guide the offense to 2 Super Bowl appearances and a the city’s first ever Super Bowl victory.
Kelce, a sixth round draft pick in 2011, has outlasted 3 head coaches (if he waited a week maybe 4). He’s played with 4 different QBs taking snaps from him, all while guiding the offensive line into one of the best offensive line in the league year after year. An undersized lineman from the University of Cincinnati became, arguably, the greatest center of all time.

More importantly than becoming an all time great on the field, he became beloved by an entire city. It wasn’t all because of his play on the field. No, that was just an introduction to us. Jason Kelce became a legend in this city because he became one of us. He’s just a regular guy. Kelce married someone from here. He goes to the Jersey Shore. He goes to Philadelphia sporting events, like the rest of us. Jason Kelce just happens to be a future hall of fame football player with one of the most popular podcasts out there.
If you are the one person who hasn’t seen the Kelce documentary, now is the time to sit down and get to know Jason off the football field. It’s an incredible film that shows what he’s like at home and with his family. In it he mentions wanting to be able to be the dad his daughters deserve. One that can still move around after years of beating his body up. It’s too bad that this is how his playing days ended for him , but it is a very well deserved retirement.

There are many great memories with Jason Kelce, but none better than the greatest Super Bowl victory speech in the history of victory speeches.
Add "greatest Super Bowl parade speech of all-time" to @JasonKelce's Hall Of Fame resume. 💚😂
