MGK’s Turkey Drop 2023 was amazing. We collected some photos from the donation locations across the area!
The Annual MGK Turkey Drop, presented by ACME Markets, is the largest one-day food gathering event in Philadelphia. The MGK air staff spread out around the tri-state area collecting turkey & monetary donations for CityTeam Philadelphia, an organization that provides holiday meals to less fortunate families in the Philadelphia region.
Matt Cord and Steve Vassalotti held down the fort at Kimmel Cultural Campus, broadcasting live all morning. Eric Johnson, Andre Gardner, Tony Harris, Cyndy Drue, and the incomparable Jacky BamBam were at ACME Markets across the area.
Tons of volunteers came out to help with all of the turkey donations. And tons of donors came to donate both physical turkeys, and monetarily! It was a total success. And for Matt Cord’s first time as the morning show host, he did a fantastic job.
