Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) were quite popular in 1969 when organizers were putting together the bill for Woodstock. They were promised a prominent slot on the bill but thigns didn't really go as plannned.  John Fogerty explains to Conan Obrien what happened when CCR went on after The Grateful Dead & how at one point in the set, he was playing to half a million people and 'one guy' all at the same time.

John Fogerty tells an engaging tale about CCR's Woodstock set that involves The Grateful Dead, LSD & playing to half a million muddied, partially closed fans.

Conan pulled an acoustic guitar from behind the couch and asked Fogerty to play a song. John offered to play 'Louie Louie' but Conan requested that he play 'one of your songs'.
