It is finally starting to feel like spring and you know what that means, time to tackle that spring cleaning. While it may be easy to just throw all your unwanted items away, there are plenty of organization in Philadelphia where you can donate your belongings.
Career Wardrobe

Career Wardrobe collected new or gently used items for job seekers. Also accepted: flash drives and gift cards that can be used for clothing or office supplies. There are also stores in East Falls, the Main Line, Bucks County and Delaware County. Donations are accepted Monday – Sunday noon to 6 p.m.

Heres2CoolStuff accepts clothing, accessories, and outerwear for men and women. Any clothing donations they cannot use are distributed to shelters and individuals who need them. As a donor, you can also make clothing drop offs for the homeless, too. Donations accepted during regular business hours, Tuesdays – Fridays from 10 am – 8 pm; Saturdays and Sundays from 1 – 8 pm.
HOME Spun Retail Boutique
1523 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia PA
HOME Spun Retail Boutique operates under Project HOME and employs those recovering from chronic homelessness. All income from the donations is used to pay their wages. They accept like new women’s and men’s clothing and accessories. Donations are accepted Monday – Friday 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Military Order of the Purple Heart
The Military Order of the Purple Heart donates clothes, shoes, books, househould items, kitchenware, and electronics to Philadelphia area veterans and their families. Donations can be dropped off at any of their locations or an appointment can be made for an at home pickup.

Philly AIDS Thrift accepts appliances, books, cars, clothing, shoes, accessories, electronics, furniture, and more and accept donations during regular business hours 7 days a week.
Planet Aid
Planet Aid takes any type of clothes in good condition and recycles old textiles and donates them to impoverished communities around the world. You can find a donation bin in your area or host your own clothing drive.
