VIDEO: Our Favorite Heavy Metal Parking Lot Moments

Here’s our favorite characters from this documentary that was shot in ’86, during the height of Heavy Metal mania, in DC’s Cap Center Parking Lot.

In honor of the Judas Priest / Deep Purple concert at BB&T Pavilion (9/9) being announced this week, we started getting nostalgic, thinking about one of the greatest/funniest concert documentaries of all-time, 'Heavy Metal Parking Lot'.  Here's our favorite moments from this 'masterpiece' as well as the full 16 minute video.

This famous/infamous documentary was shot in 1986 in the Washington DC parking lot of the Cap Center.

Here are our favorite Heavy Metal Parking Lot characters....

  1. The Dude in DC101 shirt singing 'Living After Midnight' - this guy jumps off of the screen. His energy is infectious & his love of Priest, quite evident.
  2. Graham of Dope - the shirtless Graham from 'the west coast' has an interesting idea about how to bring the country together with a large marijuana cigarette.
  3. The Jump His Bones girl - this sassy red head, has some naughty thoughts about what she would do if she encountered members of the band backstage.
  4. The Tiger Print Outfit dude - his outrage for punk music and Madonna is almost as entertaining as his full length tiger print outfit.
