I really thought I had 3-0 in the bag last week. The Chiefs were up 27-0 at one point! They let Denver come all the way back to cover the 9 1/2. We've reached the best time of the season. Playoffs are around the corner, Christmas decorations are up, no college games means Saturday and Sunday NFL games! Just the best. I'm going to take 2 of those Saturday games, 1 I'm uber confident in and 1 I'm really not, but it is the best game of the weekend so I kind of have to put it as the Game of the Week. As always Pigskin Picks brought to you by the all-new Bet Parx Casino & Sportsbook App. New users get your first bet risk free up to $750. Go to Bet Parx.com. Must be 21. Last Week Record: 2-1. Overall Record: 16-9
**Just a quick heads up, JDB and I are going on Christmas vacation (back Tuesday 1/3/23). While I'm on vaca, eating and drinking way too much, I'll try to keep posting these on Fridays so we can keep going 2-1! You know these will be the weeks when I go 3-0. Like a tree falling in an empty forest, If a guy goes 3-0, but doesn't have a radio show to talk about it does he really go 3-0? So if you want to keep following along, check back here on Fridays over the next 2 weeks.**
Miami @ Buffalo (BUF -7) SATURDAY 8:15PM
Saturday night 8:10pm, snow, 28 degrees at kickoff. I wrote this up and deleted it 3-times, all while I checked the weather reports, the injury reports, Tua Tagovailoa's cold weather stats, everything for this game. Then the line dropped over night, and I had to rewrite it again. Buffalo really doesn’t want to let home field advantage slip to the Chiefs, and the Dolphins don’t want to slip out of the playoffs! With snow in the forecast and the possibility that it could be heavy, I think it puts Miami at far more of a disadvantage than Buffalo. I’ll unconfidently take Buffalo covering the 7 in an ugly low scoring game for these 2 powerful offenses.
PICK - Buffalo
Colts @ Vikings (MIN -4) SATURDAY 1PM
The Colts are trash, they’ve already packed it in and are playing for draft positioning. The Vikings have to focus on one thing, stopping RB Jonathan Taylor because Matt Ryan is completely cooked and won’t beat them through the air. Vikes clinch the NFC North this weekend and cover the points while they do it.
PICK - Minnesota
Eagles @ Bears (PHL -9) SUNDAY 1PM
This game could end up being really ugly quickly. The Bears are near the bottom of the league in rushing defense and have given up the most rushing touchdowns in the NFL. The only thing Chicago has going for itself is QB Justin Fields. He’s a really good young QB, but the pieces aren’t in place yet for him to keep this game close. It won’t be a complete smackdown like last week for the Eagles because Fields will extend and make enough plays with his legs to keep the Bears on the field. Eagles still cover the 9 because Chicago’s defense is a sieve.
