Pigskin Picks NFL Week 10
We’re on a bit of a heater. 5-1 over weeks 8 & 9. Not too shabby. Last week I underestimated how much the Raiders players actually hated Josh McDaniels. I assumed it was a dumpster fire that couldn’t be put out. Maybe Las Vegas dumpster fires don’t burn as hot as New York Giants dumpster fires. For Pigskin Picks NFL Week 10 let’s hope no dumpster fire overpowers another dumpster fire. As always Pigskin Picks is brought to you by Parx Casino and Sportsbook – this is how you win – must be 21 – gambling problem call 1-800-gambler.
Last Week Record 2-1. Overall Record 16-11
Colts @ Patriots IND -2
Minshew Mania heads to Frankfurt, Germany! Minshew-Mania zieht nach Frankfurt, Deutschland! If any actual Germans are reading this, excuse my Google Translate butchering of your language. Gardner Minshew is going worldwide. This isn’t a great game, but the games that travel overseas rarely are. There is talk that Bill Belichick could be let go mid-season. That’s incredibly disrespectful, but that’s how poorly the Patriots season is going. I don’t think it gets better for the Patriots over in Germany. Minshew mania cannot be stopped. Slap on the aviators and bomber jacket. Colts decken die 2 ab und gewinnen.
Pick: Colts
Browns @ Ravens BAL -6 1/2
Until the Eagles play a complete game on both offense and defense the Ravens might be the best team in football. They’re 7-2, their defense is great and Lamar Jackson is playing at an MVP level. The Browns have a good defense also, but their offense is middle of the road. To stay close to this Ravens team you need to be able to score points, but that’s an issue for the Browns. Cleveland struggles to do that at the pace needed in this game. Ravens join the Eagles at 8 wins and cover the 6 1/2.
Pick: Ravens
Lions @ Chargers DET -3
Detroit is one of the top NFC teams, but normally I’d bet against Jared Goff on the road. This is one of the exceptions to that thinking. He’s used to playing in a dome in Detroit. They head out to LA to play the Chargers in a dome. It looks like the lions will be getting RB David Montgomery back this week, giving them another weapon. The Chargers just can’t put it together under Brandon Staley. I don’t expect that to change. I like Detroit to cover the 3 and keep pace with the resting Eagles.
Pick: Lions
Hmmm. Three favorites again, but it’s been working. Hopefully, the mojo keeps going like the last 2 weeks.
Go Birds… next week!
