Habitat For Humanity Philly Celebrates Day Of Giving On Monday
For the last several years, 102.9 MGK has been proud to be involved with the good people at Habitat For Humanity Philadelphia. Each year, we partner with them for our “Gimme Shelter” event, and we just found out they are achieving quite a milestone this fall. They’re reaching their 1000th home built or repaired in Philadelphia, and it’s all thanks to the generous donations from the community far and wide!
To celebrate this incredible milestone, they’re holding their first ever Habitat Day Of Giving on Monday October 3rd, with the goal or raising $100,000 in 24 hours, to assist in the building and repairing of the next 1,000 homes in Philadelphia! Your kind donations will go even further on that day, with additional matching pledges promised from some generous members of the Habitat Philly family:
Laying The Foundation Challenge
When they reach $5,000, it will unlock an additional $5,000 from Robert E. Morris.
Jimmy Carter Challenge
Former President Carter, Habitat’s most famous champion, will turn 98 tomorrow (Saturday October 1)! In his honor, the first 98 donors who make a gift on Habitat Day of Giving will unlock a $10,000 gift from Ken Krieg.
Mill Creek Halfway There Challenge
When they reach the $50,000 threshold, it will unlock an additional $15,000 gift from their partners at Mill Creek Capital Advisors.
Habitat Family Challenge
When 200 members of the Habitat family make a gift on Monday’s Day Of Giving, it will unlock a $25,000 challenge gift from the Farber Family Foundation.
