Classic sitcom fans always celebrate November 13th, THAT sad day in Felix Unger’s life that comprised the introduction to “The Odd Couple” –

Man I loved that show.  So, in the spirit of those great classic sitcoms, here are 5 more classic sitcoms that have shaped my life, which explains a lot:

5. Mr. Ed

Yeah, I have a thing for things that aren’t supposed to talk but do (google “My Mother The Car”).  Absurdity aside, this was a funny show!

4. WKRP In Cincinnati

Of COURSE I had to include this gem of a show.  The writing and acting were both stellar, let us not forget the ‘turkey drop’, and the theme song was one of the best in all of TV.

3.  Get Smart

From the twisted mind of Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, this was one silly show.  Nowadays there are some cringeworthy parts but it still has some of funniest bits I’ve ever watched.

2. The Beverly Hillbillies

When Jethro said he was going to “take a dip in the cee-ment pond,” I was hooked.  Some of my best laugh-til-you-cry moments have come from watching this show.

1. The Munsters

The granddaddy of them all, in my view.  I never really got into The Addams Family, but I’ve seen every single episode of this show dozens of times!  Long live Herman!!
