Philadelphia Named One of the Most Festive Cities
Sleigh bells are ringing, Christmas lights are twinkling, it’s the most wonderful time of the year and Philadelphia is a great place to celebrate the festive season!
LawnStarter made a list of 2021’s Most Festive Cities and Philadelphia was named number 4 on their list.
They ranked the 200 biggest U.S. cities from most to least festive based on their overall scores using a number of metrics such as, average snowfall, skating rinks, most holiday events and festivals, most Christmas trees sold, and most holiday markets. Each metric fell into the categories of Frolicking, Merrymaking, Entertaining, Eating, and Shopping.
Philadelphia also tied for 2nd with New York City for most holiday events and festivals per 100,000 residents. The City of Brotherly Love is quite a festive city for merrymaking, coming in 2nd overall, and 4th in eating.
