Hear The New Beatles Revolver Box Set First!
Apple/Universal Records will release the long-awaited Special Edition Sets of The Beatles’ Revolver this Friday, 10/28, but you’ll have the chance to hear some of the new tracks from that incredible collection first!
I hope you’ll join me this Wednesday at 3:00pm as I host The Beatles Revolver: Unboxed – a one hour commercial-free radio special celebrating the re-release of this groundbreaking album by The Beatles in its new, expanded form. You’ll get a first listen at both the newly remixed tracks and the outtakes from those sessions, and you’ll hear about the making of the album from John, Paul, George, Ringo, producer George Martin, and engineer Geoff Emerick.

The 5-CD Revolver Super Deluxe Edition set.
From backwards guitar solos to sped up and slowed down tape, The Beatles pushed songwriting and recording to their limits with the Revolver album. Every conventional method of recording, playing and singing was tested, then thrown out in favor of new, never-before-tried ideas. The work The Beatles and George Martin did on Revolver was aided by a young 20 year old engineer named Geoff Emerick, shrewdly hired by George Martin. Geoff came to the sessions with a fresh set of ears and no preconceived notions on how a recording should be made. What came out of the Revolver sessions were songs and sounds never before heard on record, and it set the scene for the band’s next work, their masterpiece Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Next to The White Album, Revolver is my second favorite album of all time, and I can’t wait to play some of these incredible tracks from this amazing set for you on Wednesday!
