41 & Done: Warren Zevon And The Morning Zoo In Atlantic City
Warren Zevon became a really good friend over the course of the time that John was at MMR. So, for 41 & Done today, John recalls Warren stopping by the Morning Zoo Atlantic City Show.
John really didn’t know him before coming to MMR. But they remained friendly for years and years on end. He was always there for John. And John tried to be always there for him. When The Morning Zoo would do the shows in Atlantic City, Warren Zevon would come. When people would come in, they would come in the afternoon before they were going to appear. They’d get themselves settled in and then they would rehearse with the Flaming Caucasians and they would figure out what songs they were gonna do the next day. The Caucasians could do anything. There was nothing you could throw at that band that they could not do.
They performed with Warren and the crowd went wild.
