I Made a Special Concert Announcement on My Show Yesterday
Yesterday around 10 a.m. on my midday show, I had the pleasure of making a huge concert announcement!
One that I knew would make everyone in the greater Philadelphia area that loves rock music very happy.
The Boss is coming back to Philly for a summer tour.
Yes, Bruce Springsteen himself is set to tear the stage up again in our city for what are sure to be some legendary shows once again.
Not only will it be Bruce, but he is bringing the E-Street Band along with him as well, so you are not going to want to miss this!
They are all set to take the stage at Citizens Bank Park, the home of the Philadelphia Phillies, on August 16th and August 18th.
Bruce coming to the city of brotherly love three times in one year?
What could be better?
I am sure tickets will go extremely fast just like the tickets to his upcoming show at the Well Fargo Center in March did so be on the lookout for when you can buy tickets.
After all, he is known to put on iconic shows at Citizens Bank Park like when he played his longest-ever United States show at the ball park back in 2016!
He played for four hours and four minutes that night!
At age 66 no less!
That was a great one!
I have actually lost count of how many Bruce shows I have seen, but it’s A LOT!
The first one was back in ‘76 at Rec Hall at Penn State up in Happy Valley, which was an amazing show, just like the many more I went on to see throughout the years.
One great one I remember was on March 29th, 2012, when I snagged this picture with comedian, Artie Lange, who was also enjoying the show!
I wonder who I will run into at one of these shows in August!
Maybe a few of the great WMGK listeners who tune into my show!
I am pumped!
August can’t come soon enough!
