Hosting The Society 76 Tip-Off Event For The Philadelphia 76ers
Right now is a great time to be a Philadelphia sports fan. The Phillies are two wins away from winning a second consecutive NLCS and advancing to another World Series. The Eagles are among the few teams sitting at 5-1, which is good for the best record in the NFL. The Flyers are off to a great start to their season. Plus, the 76ers are a week away from tipping off their season.
Well last night, I hosted a great event for those 76ers at one of the most iconic places in Philly — the Reading Terminal Market.
The event was called Society 76 Season Tip-Off Event presented by Crypto.com, and it was for season ticket holders of the Sixers.
The place looked absolutely amazing and fans got a first look at the new city edition uniforms for the upcoming 2023-2024 season, which is inspired by the Reading Terminal Market.
For those who don’t know, each NBA team gets a new city edition each year that shines a spotlight on special places or things in each city. For example, the past few 76ers city edition jerseys highlighted the Spectrum, Boathouse Row, and even the movie Rocky.
This year’s jerseys will definitely be another hit among fans, and I’m sure I’ll see a ton throughout the Wells Fargo Center at many games this year.
DJ Ghost, the Sixers Stixers, Squad 76, and Franklin were all in attendance as well. We pretty much brought the Wells Fargo Center to the Reading Terminal Market!
As the host, I got to interview Nick Nurse, Danny Green, De’Anthony Melton, and B-Ball Paul. It sounds like they are all excited for another season of 76ers basketball and what this season could bring.
I look forward to being the public address announcer for another season, and hopefully, this is the year they hold the Larry O’Brien Trophy again.
The 76ers officially start their season one week from today on October 26th against the Milwaukee Bucks.
I can’t wait!
Go Sixers!
