Highlighting A Busy Weekend of Philadelphia 76ers Basketball
Most people look forward to Friday because it is the end of the work week and time to let loose for the weekend. This last Friday, I was actually looking forward to going to work as the Philadelphia 76ers had a busy weekend!
It started on Friday night down at the Wells Fargo Center when the 76ers took on the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavs, who are battling for the second seed in the Eastern Conference, came into the game playing great basketball.
That was until they ran into the 76ers, who handed the Cavs a second loss in a matter of a couple of weeks.
It was a really nice win for the Sixers and an even better late-game performance by the team’s newest NBA All-Star — Tyrese Maxey.
Maxey took over the 4th quarter for the 76ers, scoring 15 out of the team’s last 20 points to seal the victory.
Sunday’s Game…
Fast forward to Sunday, and the Sixers welcomed another upper-echelon team in the East to the Wells Fargo Center — the Milwaukee Bucks.
Not only do the Bucks have one of the best players in the world, Giannis Antemkoumpo, but they also have a few familiar faces.
Former 76ers coach, Doc Rivers, made his return to Philadelphia for the first time since the team let him go after the playoffs.
Funnily enough, a fan sitting right behind me asked Doc a question — “Did you enjoy your time in Philly, Doc?”
And Doc actually answered him — “I did! There’s lots of great restaurants here.”
Well, you’re not wrong, Doc!
Plus, Pat Bev made his return as well, and he signed autographs for anyone who asked.
Pat Bev was all over the arena signing things for fans, and even got out of his car for some fans!

It was almost a perfect day except for the fact that the Sixers lost, but we’ll skip over that part!
Oh, and how can I forget.
The MVP was back in the building!
Joel Embiid was with his teammates on the bench, and he brought his song, Arthur, along with him.
Arthur is always a hit amongst fans and Sixers players alike.

Overall, it was a really fun weekend of Sixers basketball, and this stretch run to the postseason should be a blast!
Go Sixers!
