The Hilarious Shane Gillis Was Front and Center at the Philadelphia 76ers Game On Saturday
Shane Gillis returned to the Wells Fargo Center, and he was front and center yet again.
For those that don’t know, Shane Gillis is currently one of the biggest comedians in the world, but he was actually in town to catch another act in town — the Philadelphia 76ers.
Shane was sitting courtside on Saturday night when the Sixers hosted the Memphis Grizzlies.
Funnily enough. Shane was seated right next to Ja Morant’s dad on one side, and then on the other, it was the person he came with, Adam Ferrone.
Adam Ferrone, aka Rone, works for Barstool and is a local guy himself as he attended St. Joe’s Prep.
For all my Sixers fans, you may recognize the name as he’s part of the Pat Bev Pod.
Anyway, Shane Gillis is no stranger to the Wells Fargo Center as he was just in the building a few weeks ago performing his stand-up set in front of a sold-out crowd.
I am a fan of Shane, so I am still kicking myself for not getting down there that night and seeing his set.
I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.
Shane Gillis and His Ties To Philly…
Much like not being a stranger to the Wells Fargo Center, Shane Gillis is also no stranger to the Philadelphia area, and he has many local ties.
He actually graduated from West Chester University and is originally from Mechanicsburg, PA.
Philly is also the place where Shane really got his start as a comedian.
In fact, his career got kick-started in 2016 at the Helium Comedy Club on Samson Street with a resounding victory as Helium’s funniest comedian.
Hopefully, he’ll come back on tour pretty soon so I can catch a show, and hopefully, he’ll be back out. Sixers game soon — and a game where they win too!
You never know, maybe next time he’ll be the guest bell ringer!
