Boston’s “More Than A Feeling” Plays Key Role In Goldbergs Season Finale
Fans of the band Boston will definitely dig this Wednesday’s (5/16) episode of ABC’s The Goldbergs.
Boston’s huge hit “More Than A Feeling” will play a key role in the episode, as Erika Goldberg (played by Hayley Orrantia) and her band play their own version of the song during a pivotal part of the episode.
Boston’s Tom Scholz posted the following message on Boston’s Facebook page, “When I recorded ‘More than a Feeling’ in the basement of an apartment house 42 years ago, I had no idea that it would resonate with so many people. My goal was to write music that would motivate, inspire, or just give people a little escape from their everyday lives. It’s awesome to see these songs still being enjoyed so many years later.”
Orrantia, who also is a musician herself, had this to say about this awesome tune, “I remember rocking out to that song with my dad on road trips…I only hope Tom and the band think we did the song justice!”
The Goldbergs is based on executive producer Adam F. Goldberg’s own family and experiences coming during the 1980s while living in the Philadelphia area. He had this to say about “More than a Feeling” “….it was one of my favorite songs growing up. It’s such an amazing feel-good song. When I hear that song, it takes me right back in time to fun times with my brother, making it the perfect song to close out our big season finale.”
